PRIVACY POLICY

COLLECTION.

  1. When you register with Braincells certain specific personal information is required as set out in our Terms of Service. The collection of this information allows us to properly identify and authenticate all users.

    If you are under the age of 13 you must have parental approval to allow you to provide the information to us, in compliance with the United States "Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998" <http://www.ftc.gov/privacy/privacyinitiatives/childrens.html> as well as our voluntary standards of practice in other countries. To be clear, Braincells does not accept the name, address and email address information from users who are under 13 years of age.
  2. All eligible users, over age 13, are required to identify their name, email address, and age in order to join and sign on to the Braincells website.
  3. All eligible users will create a personalized password-protected user account. This information is protected by us, and should never be shared with others by you.

USE.

  1. We may need to contact registered users with notifications about our services, but we will not send you unsolicited commercial messages. We will never rent, sell or otherwise exploit your personal information.
  2. Web service providers automatically receive and record information on server logs from your browser, including your Internet Protocol (IP) address, cookies, and the pages you request. This information is available to us through analytics tools such as Google Analytics, among others, to help us maximize your Braincells user experience and diagnose access problems, but the information is either generic or in the aggregate and not user-specific.
  3. We use your personal information for the following general purposes: to provide and improve our products and services, for identification and authentication at sign on, for user experience research and anonymous statistical reporting, to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding suspected or actual illegal activities, including without limitation, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, fraud or violations of these Terms of Service, or as otherwise permitted or required by law.
  4. We reserve the right to transfer registration information about you if we merge with or are acquired by another company or organization.

SECURITY.

  1. Personal information is stored on servers hosted by Web services companies. We use professional hosting companies that employ technologies and policies based on evolving industry best practices, but we are reliant on their representations and actions. We take no direct responsibility for breach of these security standards that are designed to protect personal data against loss, alteration, destruction, disclosure, misuse, or unauthorized access. If we become aware of any sub-standard practices, that are not immediately addressed, we will change hosting suppliers.
CHANGES and REVIEW.

  1. You can change your Personal Information, at any time. You may contact us to inquire about any personal information we may have retained about you, and to verify that it is accurate and current. eMail us at: Privacy@livewwwires.com. Response times may vary depending upon the volume of inquiries, or the nature of your inquiry.

RETENTION.

  1. We will retain user information for a period of one year after we take down the Braincells Web Site and cease offering the service to you.

ACCOUNTABIILITY.

  1. We have a designated officer responsible for enforcing this Privacy Policy. Any concerns you may have about our compliance with this policy should be directed to Privacy@livewwwires.com or sent by postal service to: Privacy Officer, LiveWires Design Ltd., #802, 518 Beatty Street, Vancouver, BC, V6B 6G8. We will investigate your concerns and correct our processes if we have breached any of our policies or procedures.

AMENDMENTS.

  1. We may update this policy at any time for any reason. If there are any significant changes to how we handle personal information we will place a prominent notice on the sign-in page of the website.
